HistoryLeistritz Advanced Turbine Components, Co. is a continuation of a company with a long history at this Blade Production Facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This facility was owned and operated by the Westinghouse Electric Co. from 1970 until 1998. Siemens-Westinghouse managed the facility from 1998 until early 2001. During this period the Winston-Salem factory continued to manufacture all of the steam and combustion turbine compressor blades and vanes for the Westinghouse designs; and also began development of some turbine blades for Siemens-Mülheim using the Siemens designs. From April, 2001 until September 2006 Advanced Turbine Components Co. (ATC), a joint venture between Siemens-Westinghouse and ThyssenKrupp, produced all of the large steam turbine, combustion turbine compressor blades and vanes in Winston Salem. Effective October 2005, ATC was acquired by LEISTRITZ a privately owned German Company.
