For certain applications, the LEISTRITZ waterring pelletizer is the pelletizing system of choice. The hot face pelletizer LHLG basically works with the same principle: A rotating knife cuts the melt directly when exiting the die head. Then the material is catapulted into an air ring (for LWRG: waterring) to be cooled off.
