General Statements
Supporting bars and the corresponding guide plates for grinding and control wheels, are precision tools, which are used in centerless circular grinding machines.
When grinding centerlessly the axially symmetrical lathe parts are ground to their final size. The lathe parts are lying on the supporting bars (cut in grinding or profile grinding) during the grinding process, and are guided on the bars through the grinding gap between grinding and control wheel (passage grinding).
