Based on our longterm knowhow in the field of material machining, and the processing of lathe parts, we have - in addition to our special tool series (e.g. processing of tube ends) - been able to market our own lathe tool range for the use of our ground turning cutter plates on a wider basis.
The Leistritz lathe tool range consists of tool holders and cutting inserts, which can be delivered from stock in numerous variants.
Leistritz manufactures and supplies ground cutting inserts (tips). Ground cutting inserts have an advantage over DIN - plates in terms of their dimensions. They have smaller tolerances, and the knives can be adapted especially to the corresponding processing task. The ground knives work much more precisely than sintered cutting inserts do.
